5.a. As per the Texas Local Government Code, Sec. 143.006. IMPLEMENTATION: COMMISSION, subsection (e) which states: initial members shall elect a chairman and a vice-chairman within 10 days after the date all members have qualified. Each January, the members shall elect a chairman and a vice-chairman. The commission shall discuss and vote on the selection of Chair and Vice-Chair as required for the 2025 calendar year.

5.b. Discussion and approval of the 2025 calendar year Civil Service Commission meeting schedule.

5.c. REQUEST FOR LATERAL HIRING OF POLICE OFFICER - In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Del Rio and the Del Rio Police Officers Association, the Del Rio Chief of Police received an application for employment under the Modified Lateral Hiring Process from a current law enforcement officer, JOSE LUIS CASTILLO III.

6.a. ORDER #2024-027- An order in accordance with Chapter 143 of the Local Government Code and the Local Civil Service rules authorizing a promotional examination for the position of Assistant Chief in the City of Del Rio Fire Department; setting a date, time, and place for such examination; and directing the Civil Service Director to cause the posting and publication of all applicable notices.

6.b. ORDER #2025-002 - Request Approval of Entry Level Police Eligibility List - Approve the list of eligible police candidates who sat for the Entry Level Police Examination on October 1, 2024.
